   स्वामी व्यसानन्द जी महाराज 

एक साँप बिल में अथवा वन में रहता हैं, और दूसरा साँप सपेडे की पिटारी में कैद रहता हैं। दोनों की आदत एक जैसी ही हैं, परंतु स्वतंत्र सर्प जितना खतरनाक होता हैं, अथवा खतरा पैदा कर सकता हैं उतना सपेडे का साँप घातक नहीं होता हैं, परंतु स्वतंत्र साँप किसी पर भी हमला कर सकता हैं।
इसी प्रकार सबका मन हैं वह संतों के पास जितना संयत रहता हैं, उतना आम लोगो के पास नहीं रहता हैं, क्योंकि आम लोगों के पास निर्ग्रहीत मन होता हैं, और सांसारि के पास स्वछंद मन होता हैं, संतों के पास ब्रह्माण्डी मन होता हैं और सांसारी के पास पिण्डी मन होता हैं , संतों के पास शून्य गत मन होता हैं, और सांसारी के पास पाप रहित मन होता हैं।
किसी को बांधने, पकड़ने, और खोलने के लिए
सामर्थ्य, सदयुक्ति, और स्वतंत्रता की आवश्यकता होती हैं,
परंतु ये तीनों विशेषताएं एक ही व्यक्ति में नहीं हो सकती।
किसी में सामर्थ्य हैं तो सदयुक्ति नहीं, किसी में सदयुक्ति हैं तो सामर्थ्य नहीं।

संतसेवी परमहंस जी महाराज जिन्होंने संतमत के लिये अपना पूरा जीवन समर्पित किया,

मंगल मूरति सदगुरु, मिलवैं सर्वाधार।

मंगलमय मंगल करण, विनवै बारम्बार।

निज घर में निज प्रभु को पावै, अति हुलसावै ना।

मेंहीं अस गुरु संत उक्ति, यम त्रास मिटावै ना।

गुरु बिन और न जान मान मेरो कहो।

चरनदास उपदेश विचारात ही रहो।

कल्पवृक्ष गुरुदेव मनोरथ सब सरैं ।

कामधेनु गुरुदेव छुधा तृष्णा हरैं।

गुरु ही शेष महेश तोहि चेतन करैं ।

गुरु ब्रह्मा गुरु विष्णु होय खाली भरैं।

आत्मा का आत्मा में रमण करना तथा समस्त दोषों का छूट जाना ही धर्म हैं। यहीं संसार से पार उतरने का हेतु ।भगवान ने ऐसा कहा हैं।

सब प्राणियों, भूतों, जीवों, और सत्वों का हनन मत करो।उन पर शासन मत करो।

किसी भी प्राणी का वध अपनी आत्मा का ही वध हैं।
किसी भी प्राणी की दया अपनी आत्मा का ही दया हैं।
इसलिये हिंसा का विष और कंटक के समान परिहार करना चाहिये।

संत हमारे प्राण रहौं मैं साथ में,
तीन लोक सब रहे संत के हाथ में।

वहाँ के भेद कबीर गुरु जाने ।
आवत जात हमेश हो ।

कृपा कृपा सब कोई कहैं, कृपा पात्र कोय।
कृपा पात्र सोई जानिये, जो आज्ञाकारी होय।

बैल बने हल में जूते, ले गाड़ी में दिन।
तेली के कोल्हू रहे, पुनि घेर कसाई लीन।

मांस कटा बोटी बिकी, चमडन मढ़ी नक्कार।
कुछ कुकरम बाकी रहे, तिस पर पड़ती मार।
